Be Resourceful and Be on Time
Today’s interview tip of the day is simple; know where you’re going; be on time, don’t get lost and refrain from calling the company for directions. We all know first impressions are important, so admitting you are “lost” or “late,” moments before your interview is a step in the wrong direction. If a company is particularity hard to find, they will more than likely be proactive and send you directions ahead of time. If not, be resourceful and responsible and find the company’s office on your own. If you want to play it safe, find their front door a day or a week in advance.
Do Your Homework!
Before heading into an interview, ALWAYS conduct research on the company and position you are interviewing for. Even if you consider yourself an interviewing professional or have recently been into many interviews, you should always research the company beforehand. Every company is unique, and you want to always be prepared and feel confident in your answers about the company and position. It shows you are truly interested and helps boost your confidence when asked questions related to the company and position.
